OVERCOMING DEPRESSIVE MOMENTS

     Hello there, thank you for making out time to read this piece and unlike how I've been in the past year, I promise to be so quick with what it is I have to say.

     Actually, this is sort of an update as the real piece mistakenly got deleted when I was trying to post my last story (Yes, I know very well that I'm disorganised).

So going straight !

      I would not want to start with the definition of what DEPRESSION is as I even doubt there's an actual definition because it is more like a feeling which uhm, really weighs one down and can bring about a whole lot of negative thoughts.



     There's a whole lot of things to actually discuss when it comes to depression, yeah ? But the only I want to do right now is explain a few things I have noticed about it and how we can go about the situations.
I promise to discuss the other parts some other time.

Let's get started !

     First of all, there are three types of people when it comes to talking about DEPRESSION so I'll start by talking about them.

● The Real Victim: Yes, you read that right and you will know why I said that after you read the last point.
So now you are depressed for some certain reasons like not being a 'perfect' child to your parents because maybe you do not do well at school (if you've never had like 5 Fs at once, please do not nod your head here) and they just come to the conclusion that you do not pay so much attention to school work and you "play around" having no idea how you work your ass at school but some things just don't work out or maybe your parents are trying to get a divorce and it's so much on you because you lack parental love and care and it just feels like you are really really alone and you have nothingggg.
Sigh, don't worry, you'll be okay.

● ????? : Yeah, this group of persons aren't depressed and it isn't like they wish the situations upon themselves but it's just the environment they find themselves in.
Talking from experience, I used to have some issues back then which made me think a lot and I realized with time that my friends who we used to really gist together and do some fun stuff started acting like me and before I knew it, we were talking deep issues that we by God's grace, would have no concern with till we die πŸ˜‚. It was that deep.
With that said, we have people who the vibes around them just makes them feel depressed.

●Wannabes: Till tomorrow πŸ˜‚, I have no idea why some persons will sit, think and start to wish themselves bad situations. Like, hello sister ? hello brother ?? This thing you're happily wishing upon yourself is what some other people are praying to get themselves out of.
You're also wondering why, yeah ?
I can't answer too but I have noticed most do it get sympathy. What ?!?! πŸ˜‚ Oh no, I'm out of words at this point but if you know anyone who does this, I plead with you that you remember them in your prayers please.

WHAT CAN BE DONE TO GET RID OF THE THOUGHTS/FEELINGS ?
The points about to be listed are things that I did during the time I was going through stuff and tada ! Your girl started acting normal, again.

1) Praying to God: Not gonna lie, I was at one point tired of hearing this thing. Like, I would tell someone a problem and next thing they will say is 'Pray Mobola, pray.' I'm always thinking in my head if they're okay because I wanted a TB Joshua kinda miracle. Touch and fix then sigh 😌 everything is back to normal but first of all, that's only possible with God too so who isn't okay here 😭 ? Me ! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
You know what it means to pray and you don't have to start getting dramatic about the whole thing please. Just have faith in God, thank Him for His grace and say a tell Him everything you want to say to your bestie when in trouble.



2) Challenge negative thoughts: You really have to. You can't lay in bed all day thinking about how people do not love us or how pathetic our lives are. No, sweetheart. Look out there. See the number of people that want you but your attitude won't just let them. See these people and talk to them, feel free and let go everything off your mind after praying to God.

3) Challenge yourself: Yhupp. Challenge yourself ! It would be really nice to sit and think of things you want to change in your life and things you want to achieve. Think of one great person you admire and want to be like. They didn't sit down, feeling depressed and then all those things came like - πŸ‘€ hey girl/boy, here's a whole lot of riches and everything you need to be great in life, take and take because you deserve it for being a lazy girl. Nah. So I think it's high time you get up, challenge yourself and before you start to think if I practice what I preach, Yes, I do. I started working out sometimes last year πŸ˜‚ and I've been seeing bomb ass results though(you'd see pictures later πŸ˜‘).


Boom boom... I think I'm done πŸ˜‚. I'll have the second part up very soon.

Beautiful read, I used to think depression was an issue of the Western world and what not, but the growing incidence of stories of depression in the country these days have become alarming, hence it is a critically thoughtful. I’m sure this would come in handy for as many that are opportune to read it.

    So on a lighter note, with regards to your decision to start working out, did you mean bomb ASS results or just great results basically. Please show us picture Abeg!
